Mikki comes to Blue Tiger Leadership® following a 25-year career in the “people” business. Subsequent to her graduate degree in counseling psychology, she completed a post-graduate certification program at Harvard in business administration with a focus on HR/ organization development and coach training.
Following her earlier career in social work and counseling, she led a team of 240 and then spent 13 years contributing through providing in-house consultation on matters of human resources and employee relations. Her breadth of experience includes public, private and non-profit sectors in fields ranging from K-12 to Performing Arts; Higher Ed to Healthcare; Airlines to Local Government. She has worked in organizations varying in size from 50 to 100,000.
Mikki believes that work provides an extraordinary backdrop for personal growth that translates into all areas of life. She encourages others to capitalize on the opportunities naturally provided in the workplace. In her experience, work has the potential to be a catalyst for not only fulfilling human needs for contribution, mastery and financial security, but ultimately a place of meaning, connection, innovation, community and fun. She is passionate about supporting others in their process of embracing their unique gifts, personalities and path.
Although she has traveled to 5 continents, she loves the novelty of nature adventures arising in the backyard of the Pacific Northwest. She is a fan of great conversation, hiking, meditating, yoga, stand-up comedy, and her fur baby, Norman.
