Dan is an experienced leadership and team advisor, coach, facilitator and consultant. He specializes in leader and team development, focusing on the impact of communication and influence tied to thinking strategically and systemically. These elements form the core of a leader's long term capabilities. The focus is on a leader thinking critically to produce results.
Dan's executive coaching sweet spots are helping leaders with large and smaller scale change management, team effectiveness, influence strategies and communication (whether in meetings or face to face with individuals). Dan has over 30 years of leadership and training experience in healthcare, the military, retail, and insurance industries. For 14 years Dan has aided physicians and staff in various environments and healthcare administration in hospital and clinical environments, centering on leadership skill and effective interpersonal communication. With leadership experience as a military officer and as a retail manager, along with 15 years in the insurance industry, he has a broad perspective.
Dan is a Certified Performance Improvement consultant with extensive experience building high producing teams. He is certified as a Leadership Coach as well as Team Coach and works with leaders at all levels. He has been a guest speaker with the Northwest Communication Association and has spoken twice at ATD International Expos.
Dan operates as a physician and executive coach for CTI (Center for Transformation and Innovation), Common Spirit, HCA, Swedish, NLN, Blue Tiger Leadership™, and as a facilitator and performance coach for the University of Washington Foster School of Business Center for Leadership and Strategic Thinking. He is also the Executive Director of Equalus, an Executive advisory firm based in the Greater Seattle area.
