Business And Organizational Leadership Experience

Phil brings a creative mindset to his client work. His trainings and facilitations are highly experiential, and he believes equal parts self-reflection and connection with others are the most valuable tools for individual and team growth. Phil has a deep toolkit of activities that support experiential learning, and often creates exercises and activities on the spot based on the needs of the room. In Phil’s workshops clients spend significant time out of their seats connecting in pairs, or small groups, and avoiding a “sit and get” lecture format.

Phil brings a wide variety of perspectives to his work with Blue Tiger Leadership. Trained as an anthropologist, Phil draws on his past lives as a professional baker and cook, a bike mechanic, and an award-winning video producer. The largest impact to his training and facilitation is his long career in improvised theater where he has performed, coached, directed, and taught hundreds of students around the world how to listen better, move past fears, and create something brand new and delightful together.

While learning how to make one another look good, Phil’s clients become better collaborators, are more creative in their problem-solving, move through conflict more successfully and grow in their confidence and ability to engage with others. These are the skills of leadership and he strives to enable leaders wherever he is working within an organization.
